Celebrating Community and Impact at Our Annual Celebration

October 2025

On September 30, more than 200 donors, nonprofit partners, and friends gathered at the Girl Scouts’ Camp Trivera for our Annual Celebration. It was a joyous evening filled with gratitude, connection, and shared pride in what we have accomplished together.

Once a year, we pause to reflect on the collective impact we create as individuals, families, and organizations who care deeply about this community. This year, our President & CEO, Trisha Finnegan, reminded us of a simple truth: good intentions matter, but real change happens when we take action.

And together, we took action in fiscal year 2025.

  • $88.8 million distributed in grants to strengthen nonprofits and community programs (88% of which stayed right here in Oklahoma)!
  • $14.8 million through endowments to sustain vital nonprofit organizations.
  • $5 million in scholarships supporting students and workforce development.

The evening also celebrated our strong future. Thanks to new gifts, new endowments, and strong investment returns (12.29% this year), every fund holder, both donors and nonprofit partners, will be able to do even more with their funds in the years to come.

We also honored the vision that started it all: Admiral John Kirkpatrick’s belief that our community deserved every possible support. His actions, alongside the leadership of generations of trustees, staff, donors, and partners, have built the foundation on which we continue to grow together.

As we celebrated, we also felt it important to reflect on this unique year.  We recognize many families are struggling, and many nonprofits are experiencing record demand even as funding lags behind.  Community foundations are here to support our communities and everyone who shares them.  In response, OCCF has been stepping forward.  And, we add to those efforts, with the support of our trustees by committing $1 million in additional funding to address critical community needs through a new fund called the Bridge OKC Fund. We invite our partners to join us in building a bridge to better days.

Trisha closed with a powerful reminder:

“Every person plays a part, and together, so much is possible. So, dream big when it comes to our community… and be of action.”

Thank you to all who joined us at Camp Trivera, and to every donor, nonprofit, trustee, professional advisor, and community partner who places their trust in OCCF and makes this work possible. Together, we are strengthening central Oklahoma today and for generations to come.
