Christin Mugg grew up in Oklahoma City and attended Putnam City North High School. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Oklahoma in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts in Letters, and she went on to earn a master’s in business administration in 1994. While at OU, she was named Outstanding Senior Woman and inducted into PE-ET, Phi Beta Kappa, and Beta Gamma Sigma. Mrs. Mugg earned her Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1998, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the OCU Law Review, a Hatton W. Sumners Scholar, the Oklahoma Bar Association’s Outstanding OCU Law School Student, and graduated first in her class.
Specializing in complex estate planning and planned charitable giving, Mrs. Mugg is a member of the Oklahoma City Estate Planning Council, the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Oklahoma Association of Charitable Gift Planners, the Texas Bar Association, and the Oklahoma County Bar Association. She is also a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy®.
Prior to joining the full-time faculty at OCU School of Law and joining Phillips Murrah as an Of Counsel Attorney, she owned her own estate planning law firm (Mugg Winston) from 2005 to 2022. Before founding the firm, Mrs. Mugg was an associate at McAfee & Taft from 2000 to 2005 and Hartzog, Conger & Cason from 1998 to 2000. Mrs. Mugg is also a dedicated public servant, who served on the Edmond City Council from May 2021 to May 2025, where she worked to enhance the quality of life for her community.
