Michael Carolina

Michael Carolina, Executive Partner, Magellan Executive Partners

Michael Carolina earned his bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Oklahoma State University and his master’s degree in environmental science from the University of Oklahoma. In 1986, he completed AT&T’s Executive Development Program in Princeton, NJ.

Mr. Carolina worked in management and executive positions with the Western Electric Company, AT&T and Lucent Technologies. While with AT&T and Lucent Technologies, he was involved in engineering, strategic planning, new product design and introduction, manufacturing, technology transfer and joint venture operations in Europe, Asia and Latin America. He went on to serve as the executive director of the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology. In 2023, he became a part-time associate professor at the Oklahoma State University College of Engineering’s Zink Center for Competitive Innovation and Leadership.

Mr. Carolina serves on numerous boards, committees and councils, including the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation; the Stephenson School of Biomedical Engineering, University of Oklahoma; and the Oklahoma Academy. In addition, he has been inducted into the University of Oklahoma Gallogly College of Engineering Distinguished Graduates Society, received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the OSU Alumni Association and was appointed to the Engineering Research Visioning Alliance Standing Council under the National Science Foundation.
