An innovative businessman, committed community leader, and generous philanthropist, Mr. Love will continue to serve as an example to all. Tom and Judy Love’s road to philanthropy began in 1964 when they leased an abandoned filling station in Watonga, Oklahoma. From this humble beginning, their family-owned and operated company, Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores, has grown to include hundreds of locations in 41 states and is one of the country’s top privately-owned companies.

Through hard work and determination, Tom and Judy Love, their children and their grandchildren have created a successful enterprise. With this same hard work and determination, they approach their charitable endeavors, giving freely of both time and money.

In 1999, the couple established the Love Family Affiliated Fund at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation as a way for the family to work together to provide for the charitable causes they care about and provide trade school scholarships. Judy served as an Oklahoma City Community Foundation Trustee from 2002-11, and their daughter Jenny Love-Meyer served as a Trustee from 2012–21. We have been honored to partner with the Love family for decades, spreading their generosity throughout our community. We are very sorry to the Love family and the many who will miss Tom greatly.
