Advised Funds: Legacy Fund, Gift Fund, Express Fund | Charitable Organization Endowment | Scholarship & Award Fund
Advised Funds are the simplest and most flexible option for donors to accomplish their charitable goals. An Advised Fund can be started with cash or other assets such as the residual assets of a trust, beneficiary of a life insurance policy, charitable gift annuity or retirement plan account. The Lawton Community Foundation offers three Advised Funds: Legacy Fund, Gift Fund and Express Fund.
A Legacy Fund is the best alternative for families or individuals who may be considering creating a private foundation. With a required minimum balance of $10,000, a Legacy Fund offers both our proven investment management as well administrative support including the handling of all required reporting. Additional benefits include:
- It’s a permanent endowment with an annual spendable balance.
- The spendable balance allows for grants to be recommended at any time in any amount to any charitable organization.
- Low competitive fees.
- The donor has online access to fund and grant reports and can also make grant recommendations online through DonorCentral.
- Anonymous grant making is available.

- Grants can be recommended at any time in any amount to any charitable organization.
- Low competitive fees.
