Scholarship Opportunities Available for Lawton Area Students

The Lawton Community Foundation once again has scholarship opportunities available for Lawton area high school seniors and graduates.

Lawton area high school seniors are encouraged to apply for the $1,500 Lawton Community Foundation scholarships. Seniors attending one of the following high schools are eligible to apply: Altus, Cache, Duncan, Elgin, Frederick, Lawton High School, Lawton Eisenhower and Lawton MacArthur.

The Lawton Community Foundation scholarship committee will select the scholarship recipients with the assistance of high school guidance counselors and a committee at each school. The scholarship awards are for one year and the deadline for applications is Feb. 7, 2016.

New for 2016, is the Lawton Health Care Scholarship. Students pursuing a post-secondary education in the health care and/or medical program at Great Plains Technology Center’s Lawton campus are encouraged to apply. A committee designated by the Oklahoma City Community Foundation will select the scholarship recipients. The one year scholarships are for $1,500 and the deadline to apply is March 15, 2016.
