The Lawton Community Foundation was established in 1999 to support the charitable interests and concerns of the people of the Lawton community and surrounding areas. The Lawton Community Foundation is a nonprofit, public foundation that serves as the conduit through which donors can build endowments that support charitable organizations and causes. The Lawton Community Foundation was founded through initial funding from the community-owned Lawton Retail Merchants' Association. The Lawton Community Foundation is affiliated with the Oklahoma City Community Foundation, which has been serving central Oklahoma for more than 30 years.
